The Normandy countryside is a mix of rolling hills, tidy farmhouses, and steep coastal cliffs. In late autumn, the smell of fresh bread drifts from boulangeries, and the small restaurants along the coast offer shelter from the wind and scattered rain. Time feels slower here in the fall, as the leaves turn gold and russet, the mornings stay quiet, and people go about daily routines that have changed little over the years.
